2:15 PM: Sophie woke up from her second nap happy and hungry. She's been able to keep down everything I've given her, and she's drinking a fair amount of water (and a little bit of juice). She's running a little bit of a temperature (99.3), but it has to be over 101 (or over 100 for longer than an hour) before we have to call UNC. She said she had a headache a few minutes ago. We'll keep an eye on that. I didn't even know she knew the word "headache!"

Just wanted to let you guys know that we are still thinking and praying for you all. I have checked on Sophie's updates all day and was glad to hear she is able to keep some liquids down. Please know we continue to keep you all in our thoughts and prayers. Kaylee still talks often about Sophie. She was so excited when Sophie came back to school that day. Hope Sophie continues to get better.

Hi, I have been very busy the past few days. I didn't get a chance to check the website last night when I finally got to my parents' home. I attended a conference in Northern VA all day on Wednesday and then drove to PA afterward. I have been on the run all day today too. I am sorry that Sophie hasn't been feel too well these past two days. I praise the Lord that Sophie's CAT scan was "okay" too. I wonder if Sophie passed out from hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels) like she did in the clinic the other week. Another thought about Sophie passing out after vomiting is that maybe her blood pressure dropped to low for her little brain to retain consciousness. It can happen from stimulation of the vagus nerve that lies behind the esophagus. I do think it is important that she be thoroughly checked out though. I am sure this has been very hard on you too. It is scary when our children or grandchildren do these unexpected things.
I do hope that Mary has a good visit with all of you. I am sure that Elisabeth and Sophie will have a good time with her. I bet that Mary doesn't let Elisabeth pull the TV down on her like I did!
I will email your personal email with the events of today with Adriane and Nathan. Take care. Remember that we may be surprised at the events of daily life, but the Lord NEVER is. He just walks with us through the trails of the day. Love, Eileen
