Best Ever Cinnamon Rolls with cake mix

These are the best cinnamon rolls I have ever made.  I made this full batch
for my husband and his co-workers - but usually make a half batch which
makes a small cookie sheet full.  I then frost with a cream cheese
frosting.  They are really great.  (I made the full batch with my Kitchen
Aid mixer and the half-batch in my bread machine dough cycle - they both
turn out great)

  2               pkgs  dry yeast
  2 1/2              c  lukewarm water
  1                pkg  yellow cake mix
  1                  c  all-purpose flour
  3                     eggs
     1/3             c  oil
  1 1/2            tsp  salt
  5 1/4              c  all-purpose flour
                        soft butter
                        sugar & cinnamon
                        Glaze:
  1                 lb  powdered sugar
     1/2         stick  butter or margarine -- melted
  1 1/2            tsp  vanilla
     1/2          cups  milk -- (1/2 to 3/4)

Dissolve yeast in warm water for 3 minutes. Add cake mix, 1 cup flour,
eggs, oil & salt.  Beat well until bubbles appear. Add 5-1/4 cups flour,
slowly. Stir until soft dough forms.  Knead on well-floured No Mess Dough
Disc about 5 minutes. Place in greased bowl, let rise in a warm place until
double in bulk. Punch down dough, divide into 3 equal parts. Roll out each
section of dough on No Mess Dough Disc, all the way to the edge of disc.
Spread with softened butter, sprinkle with cinnamon & sugar. Roll up like
jelly-roll. Cut with dull knife or dental floss into 1" thickness. Place in
a greased baking pan & allow to rise until doubled. Bake at 350 degrees for
20 - 30 minutes. Ice with powdered glaze while still hot....Yield: 3 - 4
dozen rolls

Glaze:
Mix sugar, butter & vanilla. Stir in milk to desired consistency. Drizzle
over hot rolls.

German Chocolate Pecan Rolls:
Prepare dough as for cinnamon rolls, except substitute 1 pkg. (2 layer
size) German chocolate cake mix for the white cake mix.
