French Toast Casserole

6-8 one inch bread slices, cubed
2 8-ounce packages cream cheese
10 eggs
1 3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup maple syrup
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
Place half of the bread cubes in a 9" x 13" casserole dish. Cube cream
cheese and place over bread layer. Top cream cheese with another layer
of bread cubes. Combine all other ingredients and pour over casserole.
Wrap and refrigerate overnight. Cover and bake for 20 minutes at 350
degrees. Remove cover and bake an additional 25-35 minutes...enjoy!
Serve maple syrup on the side, if desired.
(A friend tried this recipe and used Egg Beaters instead of eggs and fat
free cream cheese. She said it turned out horribly).
