Pork Chop Casserole

6 boneless pork chops
8 oz pkg sliced mushrooms
1 Medium onion
1 Medium cooking apple
2 lbs potatoes
Savory
Corn Starch

Line bottom of casserole dish with sliced mushrooms. Place pork chops on
top (no overlapping). Slice onion and lay rings on top of pork chops.
Slice apple (peeled) and put slices on top of onion. Cut up potatoes into
1 inch cubes (up to you whether you peel them or not). Put on top on apple
slices. Add water to dish until it comes halfway up the side. Sprinkle
Savory on top of potatoes to taste.

Cook covered at 425 F for 1 hour. Uncover and cook for an additional 30
min.  Drain liquid into saucepan (I've found using a baster to siphon it
up works best). Add cornstarch until it thickens into a gravy. Pour back
over casserole dish. Serves 6.
