Stuffed Green Peppers

6 sm. green peppers, tops removed & seeded
1 lb. ground ham (approx. 3 c.)
1/3 c. raw rice
2/3 c. water
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. ketchup
1 c. ketchup
1/2 c. water
4 carrots, peeled & cut in 3" pieces
Wash peppers; drain well. Salt lightly. Combine in medium bowl: Ground ham,
rices, water, onion, salt and 1/4 cup ketchup. Mix well. Stuff peppers 2/3
full. Arrange stuffed peppers in crock pot with carrot pieces to help
support peppers. Pour in ketchup and water. Cover and cook on low for 6-8
hours (or high 3 hours). Serve on bed of rice - pour tomato sauce over top.
