Crisco Yellow Cake

2 1/2 cups sifted cake flour
1 2/3 cups sugar
3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
3/4 cup milk
2/3 cup Crisco

Mix thoroughly 300 strokes by hand or 2 minutes at medium speed with
mixer, scrape bowl frequently during mixing. Add the ingredients below
and mix thoroughly 300 strokes by hand or 2 minutes at medium speed with
mixer.

3 large eggs, unbeaten
1 1/2 tsp. flavoring, such as vanilla or almond etc.
1/2 cup milk

Pour batter into 2 greased and floured 9-inch cake pans and bake at 350°
for about 35 minutes.  If desired, bake in a 9 x 13 pan for about 45
minutes.
