                         Cranberry Apple Dessert

     1/3           cup  margarine or butter
  2 1/2           cups  Original Bisquick
  1                cup  sugar
  1 1/2           cups  milk
  1                cup  whole berry cranberry sauce
  1                cup  chunky applesauce
  1             medium  cooking apple, thinly sliced -- (1 cup)
                        Sweetened Whipped Cream -- if desired

Heat oven to 350F.  Melt margarine in rectangular pan, 13 x 9 x 2-inches, in
oven.

Stir Bisquick, sugar and milk until smooth.  Pour batter evenly into pan.
Mix cranberry sauce and applesauce; spoon evenly over batter.  Place apple
slices on sauce.

Bake 50 to 60 minutes or until golden brown.  Serve warm with Sweetened
Whipped Cream.  8 to 10 servings.

High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Heat oven to 375F.  Bake 55 to 60 minutes.

Sweetened Whipped Cream Directions:
To make 1 1/2 cups of Sweetened Whipped Cream, beat 3/4 cup heavy whipping
(heavy) cream and 2 tablespoons granulated or powdered sugar in chilled small
bowl with electric mixer on high speed until stiff.

NOTES : Success Hint:  Good choices of cooking apples are Rome Beauty, Golden
Delicious, Granny Smith and Greening.

Variation:  Reduced Fat Bisquick can be used in this recipe.  Just increase
the milk to 1 3/4 cups.

Did you know?  Warming leftover whole berry cranberry sauce and serving it
over slices of ham or turkey will taste great and add extra color to a meal.
