Crockpot Potpourri

This recipe comes from Company's Coming Slow Cooker Recipes. Take a deep
breath and enjoy.
To add a subtle aroma in your home, start potpourri simmering one hour
before your guests arrive and continue throughtout the evening.
1 cup dried lavender leaves
4 cups dried rose petals
1 teaspoon anise seed
1 Tablespoon ground nutmeg
1 Tablespoon whole cloves
1 Cinnamon stick (2 Inches, in length) broken up and crushed in plastic bag
1 Tablespoon benzoin fixative
5 drops jasmine oil
5 drops patchouli oil
5 drops rose geranium oil
5 drops rosemary oil
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Place in a larg opaque container or in
a glass container in a dark cupboard. Let stand for 1 month to season
before using. Makes about 5 cups. To use, fill a slow cooker half full with
water. Add 1 to 2 cups of potpourri. Heat on Low with the lid off.
