                          Fruity Oatmeal Muffins

     2/3  cup           milk
     1/3  cup           vegetable oil
   1                    egg
   1      cup           all-purpose flour
   1      cup           quick-cooking oats
     1/3  cup           sugar
   3      teaspoons     baking powder
   1      teaspoon      salt
     1/2  teaspoon      cinnamon
     1/4  teaspoon      ground nutmeg
   1      cup           dried cranberries

Heat oven to 400F.  Grease bottoms only of 12 medium muffins cups, 2 1/2 x
1 1/4-inches, or line with paper baking cups.  Beat milk, oil and egg in
large bowl.  Stir in remaining ingredients just untiul flour is moistened.
Divide batter evenly among muffin cups.  Sprinkle with brown sugar if
desired. Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.  Immediately remove
from pan.

NOTES : These are vey good!  The only thing I recommended is to watch them
cook in the oven.  My oven is fast and they were ready at 10 to 15 minutes.
