Pot Roast
Contributed by Jo
Buy a roast the size of a wipes pail (haha) or smaller and cut the strings
off and remove paper. Place it in a 5 qt dutch oven (you know, a big pot with
no long handle) and cover with water. Throw in quartered potatoes, with skins
(they'll fall off in the water anyway) and carrots and onions. Salt if you
want.
Cook in the oven with the lid on at 350 F for two to four hours, depending on
how soft you like your meat. Generally, three hours is best. You may need to
add more water during cooking time if it gets low.
Note: I haven't done this one in five years, you may need to play with it.
